Distressing footage of a terrified elderly woman being beaten by a man who appears to be a carer has surfaced online.
In the short clip which was posted to Facebook, the frail woman is seen cowering beside her bed in fear while the man speaks to her and gestures towards the other side of the room as she cowers beside her bed in fear.
Instinctively, she covers her face to protect herself when the man opens his hand – suggesting the beatings may have happened before.
After he hits her, she tries to move way across the floor, but he slaps her again twice on the side of the head.
The graphic video, which some say was shot in Malaysia or Taiwan has been viewed more than five million times.
