Police in Rivers State has recovered the sum of N60,250,000 that was reportedly stolen by a bullion van driver.
According to the state Deputy Commissioner of Police, DC Uche Anozia, the money was meant to be delivered to a new generation bank in Port Harcourt when the driver of the van absconded after the first point of delivery.
DC Anozia told journalists that useful intelligence was obtained on commencement of investigation.
The money was located in a parked vehicle in a super market in GRA area of the city.
The driver of the bullion van is said to be on the run while investigation is ongoing.
