A suspected vandal has been electrocuted on the Shiroro/Tegina/Kontagora 132 KV transmission line ,according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria on Friday.
The incident reportedly happened on the night of August 1, 2016 while the suspected vandal was carrying out the criminal act on the line. The corpse was later removed by policemen and the line restored at about 6:40pm on August 2, 2016.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria has warned vandals to steer clear of transmission equipment across the country, saying apart from being an act of sabotage, “there is grave danger inherent in vandalism of power installations”.
