Days ago, the story of a man who beat his 10-year-old son, Wariz Adekoya to death went viral. It has emerged that the suspect, Rasak Adekoya, a 37-year-old man, said he killed his son because he stole a mobile phone at a party.
The incident happened on the 11th of October.

Adekoya, said he never intended to kill his son, and explained that the boy brought him shame by stealing the mobile phones at a party, as well as money belonging to his stepmother.
He was arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command, and is currently being detained at the homicide department at the state police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
