Protesting senior staff members of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, took their grievances to an all new level after they presented the schools’ Vice Chancellor, Olusola Oyewole a loaf of bread for a cake and a bottle of Coke on his 61st birthday yesterday.
The embattled Vice Chancellor and his deputy Adeleye Ogunlewe, have been in serious battle with the workers over allegations of financial fraud levelled against them.
The duo is still being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, but members of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities in the school have continued to protest their continuous stay.
So to send their grievance home, they organised a mini-birthday bash and presented the V.C bread and coke at his office on Friday afternoon.
They were however intercepted by the institution’s Chief Security Officer, Peter Bolarinwa, who promised to deliver the bizarre package.
